Meet Sasha Carrion: Canvas Rebel
Alright, Sasha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
My defining moment is connected to the repetitive trauma that I experienced.
As a trauma survivor, I had experienced physical and sexual abuse and the disappearance of both of my parents. Even with all of that, I had persevered as best I could in life. Given everything I had experienced, I thought I was doing ok.
With time, I found my father. He explained that my mother had turned her back on her family to be with another man. While I didn’t care for what he told me, I focused on the fact that at least, I now had one parent. For 10 years, I cherished my newfound relationship with my father. It felt good to at last feel like I belonged. I even forgave him for the things that others could not forgive.
Then one day, a family member revealed the devastating truth: my father had murdered my mother and had been playing the victim all along. In that moment, it all felt like too much. I was absolutely heart-broken. The weight of it all was too much for me to bear. I had already lived through so much, that it felt as though life was just a pain-ridden experience.
In no time, I was experiencing a variety of emotional and physical ailments. I was riddled with anxiety, severe migraines and debilitating neck and shoulder pain, making it impossible to move my neck. My hair began to fall out. The first lines on my forehead appeared around this time.
Desperate for relief, I turned to traditional therapy, but it offered little solace. At my lowest, I was willing to try anything. That’s when I gave hypnotherapy a chance, despite my skepticism. With nothing left to lose, I dove in.
Hypnotherapy was a game-changer. Unlike talk therapy, hypnotherapy helped me create shifts that I had been unable to create before. I discovered that deep, subconscious work is a powerful key to life-altering transformation.
That defining moment gave me hope—not just for myself, but for anyone else struggling to heal from trauma. Over time, I realized that everything I had been through had a purpose. It prepared me for the work I now do, helping others overcome their pasts and create the future they deserve.
Since then, I’ve never looked back.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
To create the profound transformation I experienced in my own life, I had to stop repeating the same stories I’d been telling myself. I realized that true change requires breaking free from the narrative that keeps you stuck.
For example, I had to let go of the belief that I was broken or that my life couldn’t improve because I couldn’t get rid of my anxiety. Real transformation happens when you allow yourself to embrace a completely new reality—one that may be entirely different from anything you’ve experienced before.
I stopped labeling myself and shifted my focus to dismantling the limiting beliefs that had been holding me back for years. When I rewrote my inner stories, I completely rewrote my life.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
One of the most valuable insights I’ve gained after years of guiding clients through life-changing breakthroughs is that true transformation doesn’t occur solely at the level of the logical mind. It happens at a far deeper level—a spiritual level—where lasting change is born.
But this kind of profound shift only happens when a person is truly ready and open to the change they seek. It requires a willingness to embrace vulnerability, to let go of control, and to confront the truths we often hide from ourselves. When we allow ourselves to see what needs to be seen with honesty and to feel what needs to be felt fully, that’s when the magic happens.
This is the moment of the domino effect, where shifting one core belief or emotional block causes everything else in life to realign. It’s not just a surface-level adjustment; it’s a complete recalibration that touches every aspect of your being—mind, body, and spirit.
Transformation isn’t about forcing change; it’s about allowing it. And when we’re ready to surrender to that process, the breakthroughs we seek naturally follow.
