Before You Tackle Any Big Goals
Sometimes we can find ourselves unwisely attempting to forcefully make something happen without taking into account that there is a time for everything and sometimes we aren’t in the best place to do that kind of work. We are so use to our go-go modern lifestyle that we forget to take the time to connect with ourselves. There is a time to move full speed ahead and then there other times, that are like fall and winter when many plants and animals hibernate. Sometimes we need to do the same. Sometimes, you need to take time to lay low and take care of yourself first and foremost before you can take on the world. It’s a kind of refueling that has to take place on a spiritual and emotional level. Sometimes even on a physical one. The only way that you can do that is by giving yourself permission to take some time for yourself even if in the beginning you feel a little guilty about it. Consider that in the grand scheme of things, taking the time that you need to take for yourself, is no big deal. You have to … because you want to check in with yourself, see where you are at and how you are doing. This way you can figure out what you need to do for yourself. That’s how you are going to know how to refuel – how to so to speak, feed your soul. You want to do this first and foremost before tackling any big goals. Get yourself in the best emotional space possible. Do this and you’ll find that when it’s time to work on your goals, you’ll be functioning from a place of power where you experience this flow as opposed to feeling like you’re fighting with yourself and all that is around you. When you have the right mindset, things feel much more natural and the experience of achieving a goal can feel much more intuitive and energizing. That’s the kind of personal gift that can make a big difference in your life.
