Self-love can do a whole lot for you. This is my most recent Affirmation on one’s relationship to self. It was inspired by the fact that I often notice that people that don’t feel good about themselves often don’t come through for themselves. Instead, they let themselves down one way or another. What’s very interesting about this is that these people are often very good about taking care of others and getting things done, just not for themselves.
Self-love can make a huge difference in a person’s life. When you practice self-love, you do everything possible to take care of both your mind and body. Instead of putting your goals on the back burner, you stay true to doing whatever it takes to reach them. All of this happens because you value and respect yourself. That alone makes a huge difference in how you feel. People who have self-love also tend to be more understanding of themselves and even when they do come across a set of negative thoughts about themselves, they don’t stay stuck there. Self-love is also important for having a high self-confidence and self-esteem. This is why it’s important that you love yourself and be on your side, regardless of anything and anybody and regardless of whether you were shown love in your earlier years.
Also consider, that when you practice self-love, not are you in a better mental space but you are also able to be a positive force in the world. God knows this world needs as much love and help as it can get.
